It was like staying inside a well kept jungle! The wildlife (birds and plants) on the property were gorgeous. We saw workers constantly cleaning pools and thermals, tending to the grounds, there was always someone around but no one ever bothered us to make us feel like we had to order something. The breakfast was amazing! We only ordered dinner once and it was beautiful. I was okay that the location was closer to the volcano than the downtown. My only complaints are that there weren't enough places in the room or bathroom to hang wet swim suits and I didn't love the bathroom products provided (shampoo and body wash). I would stay here again!

My husband and I recently stayed in a Riverside Villa to celebrate our 15-year wedding anniversary, and it was truly one of the most incredible experiences we have ever had. Costa Rica has become one of our favorite places in the world, not only because of its breathtaking scenery, but because of the kindness of its people and its beautiful culture. This hotel elevated our entire experience and made our anniversary celebration unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The team went above and beyond by preparing our villa with champagne, flowers, and special touches that made us feel celebrated and appreciated. Our Riverside Villa was absolutely stunning. Falling asleep to the sounds of the river and waking up surrounded by lush tropical nature felt magical. The villa was spacious, beautifully maintained, spotless, and offered the perfect combination of luxury and immersion in nature. Having a private jacuzzi while being surrounded by the rainforest created an experience that was both relaxing and unforgettable. One of the highlights of our stay was the couples massage. We have traveled to many places around the world and experienced numerous spas, and this was honestly one of the best massages we have ever had. It was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary and completely unwind.

This was our first stop on a first trip to Costa Rica and it was incredible. The team working here is nothing short of incredible. They are all so nice and very helpful! Everything from the welcome drink, to the breakfast, lunch, and dinner were amazing. The animals were plentiful and such a great way to start your trip with kids on the rainforest. We took a frog tour at night and it’s a must do as well. After breakfast, we hit the waterfall trail to some of the most breath taking waterfalls we’ve ever seen! You will not be disappointed to stay and visit here.

Everything is great. I am impressed with the hospitality of the staff, especially Esther from front desk for accommodating my tour schedule, and Dilan for the night walk. He really knows how to take good photos of the frogs. Location wise, it is around 8min drive from La Fortuna downtown and having a car is more convenient. Not Walking friendly. If you don’t have a car, talk to front desk they will definitely help you with some options. One note, remember to bring ear plugs as you will hear the sound of nature 24/7, especially during bed time (birds, cicadas…) And there is also a dog rescue center close by and you will hear some dog barking from time to time. Overall, I am very happy with my experience at Tifakara.

Property was incredible. Woke up to monkeys and coati's every morning. Staff knew my daughter's food allergies every morning without us reminding them and accommodated us with no problems. Front desk staff were incredibly helpful with changing and scheduling tours.

The room with the private pool was awesome. The staff was exceptional, friendly, helpful and polite. The restaurant is great, the menu amazing and the service is word class. We can only recommend all activities they offer. The guides are very knowledgeable and make you feel safe and taken care of.

We had a fantastic stay loved the boat ride to the lodge, rooms were spacious, lovely big bathroom Balcony had a lovely swinging seat overlooking the river Breakfasts were fruit plus fish of your choice and was excellent Trails around the hotel were great to see frogs and birds We did a fantastic magical kayaking trip which is a must We visited national park to see turtles laying eggs, unfortunately she Borykng the hole before laying eggs but we did see the turtle going back to the sea and the hole shed dug, still a memorable experience A highlight were the iguanas lounging around the pool with us and the macaws hanging out in the trees
