Excellent buffet breakfast and large room with balcony overlooking pool and sea. Massive discount for week prior to Easter. However, bar and restaurant were closed and no entertainment provided. 15 minute walk to town centre for facilities. Bidet in bathroom would have been handy, when only feet needed washing. No toilet brush or plastic stool to sit on to dry yourself after a shower. Got stressed out trying to get safe in bedroom to lock. Followed instructions keying in 4 numbers and # key. Asked for help at reception. Told to buy key to go inside the safe at €4 a night to lock. Have paid in other hotels for key operated safes, but never for digital ones in over fifty years of travelling the Med!

We had an excellent stay. The property is beautiful, very well maintained, and the breakfast was outstanding. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

This is a lovely hotel I found while searching for places to stay 1 night on the coast from Marbella to Valencia. The staff is very friendly and we both spoke enough English and Spanish to feel comfortable. There is a quaint rooftop garden restaurant with good food and a charming staff. Breakfast was included with pastry and bread, ham and cheese and juices. Very traditional Continental breakfast. The cappuccino was delicious!! The price can’t be beat. I can’t speak as to what there is to do in Portman. It is a small and quiet town. We just stayed the one night as we passed through. But don’t hesitate to book a stay!
