This was a great find. Great value for money and had everything we needed. Spotlessly clean with a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living area. Bathroom was a nice size and also spotlessly clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Check in was pretty simple and the staff member we met, who was cleaning at the time, was super friendly. There is a bakery next door which was convenient, we just had coffee and pastries, a supermarket across the road and plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars within easy walking distance. I would highly recommend this place, we would definitely stay here again.

Very convenient. Walking distance from train station and 2 minutes from metro station. Lots of restaurants and convenient stores in the area. Washer in the apartment

Luxury spa near Oslo

This is an amazing hotel. It’s massive. We had a huge room with a view of the farms and fjords from 3 vantage points and the biggest shower in Norway. The staff was great. The only negative was the restaurant. The food was pricey but not great.

We did like the rooms,the Spa and the dining roooms. We should like to have a balcony outside our room .

Outstanding hotel. The dinning options were excellent for someone who eats gluten free.

Wonderful stay! The only let down was the rogue taxi driver that ripped me off on the way to the hotel. Can’t wait to go back!

We loved this hotel. The room was lovely, though a little warm as we couldn’t get the temperature control to work. Perfectly located close to train station, museums and shops. Breakfast was amazing, we stayed in 4 hotels in Norway during our trip and this was our favourite.

Great central location. Being a Vegan I asked if they had a good selection of food for the breakfast, I need not have asked, the breakfast spread was the best I have ever seen and we have been to a lot of hotels. That said they did ask me what I wanted (hash browns) and got me some anyway! You must get the breakfast included if you stay at this hotel - it is awesome! We has a room on the top floor with a balcony and thus great view of Oslo. Also, check out the "Barcode" street food just over the road...plenty of food from around the world as fairly decent prices, well for Oslo that is!!!

Charming, cozy hotel with character. The Kong Carl is conveniently located near the Sandefjord town center, an easy walk from the train station. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The room was as described, complete with mini-fridge and hot water kettle, and both the interior and exterior of the hotel have old-world charm and character. The hotel restaurant is convenient and delicious, with a well-stocked breakfast buffet and superb dinner menu. Walking distance to tasty coffee shops, the Hvaltorvet shopping mall, and the waterfront, among other things. A lovely stay—tusen takk!
