The Hotel and the team amazing. Great rooms , very good bar prices. The breakfast is the best I've seen in a long time

The hotel smells bad so the staff constantly sprays this air freshener around that smells like bug spray..the towels r frayed and have holes in them..my single room was very small and so was the shower..there is a big hole by the front steps that is dangerous..8 steps to get into the hotel..the breakfast was OK.

The staff was very courteous and friendly. However, the room we were assigned on the first night was quite a shock. The shower was located in the bedroom with only a single glass wall for separation. There was no sofa and only one chair in the room, as well as just one small bath towel provided. Overall, the room felt more like a closet than a proper hotel room. Given the price we paid, we expected a much more decent accommodation. The following day, I requested a different room, which we received that evening. This room was significantly better and met our expectations. That said, I believe a discount should have been offered for the first night, which unfortunately did not happen. Overall, the hotel is very clean and modern.

Our room was clean, the ocean view was lovely, staff was helpful & friendly. We really enjoyed the location & being able to walk to all the restaurants & beach was a bonus. On our night of arrival, I thought I might not be able to stay there. The shower/sink room smelled so bad it made me sick, however, with the doors open and the ocean breeze blowing in the smell cleared up and the rest of our 4 day visit was good. We didn't realize we would be 9 stories up and the elevator could get a little crowded, but it was really nice being up that high and having the ocean breeze blowing through.

When we arrived, there was a light out in our room. It was fixed the next day but I really could have used it at night as it was the hallway light in front of the closet. The guest services person took an order for room service for the second morning as we had to leave before the breakfast opened. Instead of a blueberry muffin, I received blueberry pancakes. Instead of a small mango/yogurt parfait, I received a dish of some kind of yogurt and a dish of mangos. Needless to say, I did not eat breakfast. The best thing about the hotel was the location. We have stayed in and loved other Mandarin Orientals. This was not up to their standards.
