Ko‘olauloa District Scuba Diving Holidays

Pros: Beds were comfortable, room was pleasant and balcony relaxing. Cudos to the property for moving us so that our rooms were on the same floor and upgrading one room to ocean view. Outdoor lobby area fun and relaxing, we didn’t use the pool or amenities, however if we had more time in Hawaii we would have love to take advantage of them. We were asked if we wanted rooms cleaned daily or every other day-my advice get daily I didn’t realize how much sand would end up inside! So close to the beach Cons: Did NOT know we would be paying $250 per security deposits. Wasn’t prepared that parking was $65/day and clearly didn’t read the fine print that breakfast was also additional fee

Couldn’t be happier with the room quality size and cleanliness however amenities were a whole other story. The dining available in the hotel was great but we didn’t frequent the cafe after our first time as the staff were so rude and unfriendly. Furthermore we were told we could not order a drink and take it up to our room which seemed insane (we wanted mimosas in our room while getting ready for our wedding) no room service available despite the website mentioning it. Staff clarified and told us NO. with these things alone I would have chosen another hotel all together.

The construction that was going on throughout the day was extremely loud and disruptive while trying to rest on vacation. We were not notified when we booked that there would be construction on the floors. We were notified just before vacation, but not in detail of what we could expect. The restaurants on property has a very poor selection of food for non- seafood eaters. The staff were always friendly. The pool attendance did not adhere to the posted rules of removing "saved" chair every few hours. Some pool loungers in more choice locations were saved with towels, but never occupied for several hours, if ever over the 4 days we used the pool area. The rooms are a bit dated but large and comfortable.

We loved our view from the room. The bed was cozy, room was thoroughly clean. The hotel was in a perfect location. Restaurant and shopping options were great. The beach was located right across the hotel.

The Kahala will never disappoint. It is clean, beautiful, calm, quiet. I will always recommend it

Beautiful property. For families traveling with a stroller they do have an accessible ramp to the right of the man entrance.
