We totally recommend it! The location is amazing—close to all the key points in the city. It’s the only hotel in Rio directly on the beach, without a road separating it from the sand.
The restaurant has amazing views, whether you’re going for breakfast or catching the sunset while sipping caipirinhas. The entire staff was amazing—friendly, informative, and always very, very helpful and welcoming. Special shoutout to Marcus and Matheus at the front desk. Rodrigo and Bruno at the restaurant were the best!! We spent 5 days in Rio, then headed to Lençóis Maranhenses. When we came back to Rio, we had originally planned to stay at another hotel, but we canceled and decided to return to Arpoador.
We’re definitely coming back in the future. Thank you for everything!!

Sol Ipanema is a fantastic place to stay! The staff and the property exceeded all my expectations — everything from service to comfort was outstanding. My only issue was with Expedia, not the hotel itself. I needed to change my reservation dates, and while the hotel’s reservation team was incredibly kind and approved the change, Expedia failed to update the dates properly with the hotel. Despite this hiccup, my experience at Sol Ipanema was excellent, and I’d definitely return!

This is our fourth time staying here since they opened and Arena Hotel continues to be the lodging of choice for us. We love the hotel. It’s clean, quiet and comfortable and the location is ideal for us. Also, a special shout out to Josefa, the nice lady who cleaned our room each day. She did a great job and we always enjoyed saying hi to her each morning.

It is conveniently located in Avenida Paulista where it is buzzing with activities, shops and banks. Staff is amazing and professional. I got a room upgrade because there was a privacy panel missing during my second stay there.
