The hotel was very clean, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The area was a bit run down and the outside of the hotel did not do it justice.

We really enjoyed our stay at School Lane Hotel in Liverpool. Pros: The location is excellent—just steps from shopping, restaurants, and pubs. We booked the family studio, their largest room, and it was perfect for our family of four (two boys, 11 and 16). While there’s no kitchenette, the hotel offers complimentary pastries and coffee each morning in the lobby. The room was very spacious by European standards, and the bathroom was a standout—modern, roomy, and the shower was fantastic. Cons: The entrance is a bit tricky to find—it’s just to the right of Hotel Chocolat. Parking is about a 5-minute walk at Q-Park Hanover Street. Be sure to pre-book and use the hotel’s discount code; we paid around £20 overnight. There are no on-site amenities like a gym or spa, but guests can access facilities at a nearby sister hotel (we didn’t use them, so can’t comment). Overall: A great stay, and we’d definitely return!

Amazing location and staff are so lovely and helpful, I only gave it a lower rate as the bathroom needed a bit of attention although it was clean but shower was very old and slow draining (had to turn off shower few times to drain and resume showering) - not ideal especially for the price we paid. Other than that everything was simply superb. Please do not be offended by my comments. It is a constructive feedback and should not be taken any other way.

Beautiful, boutique hotel. The staff were all incredibly nice and helpful from the moment we walked in. The hotel has been very tastefully decorated with amazing love and attention. The owner was so generous with his time to talk to us and made us feel so comfortable. Would love to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone.

My Mum was gifted a spa day for two for her birthday so I decided to book a stay also. So glad I did ...loved this hotel. Upgrade on the room, fantastic and beautiful bar area and staff were fab. If I had to offer a slight area to improve...the pool was a tad cool for a spa pool. The hotel was a great location to bars and resturants. Thank you for a lovrly stay .

Staff were very friendly & attentive. Room was ready early so we given keys earlier than planned which was brilliant. Room was modern & clean, Beatles themed of course. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel is very central which is great for shopping, food etc but was a bit noisy on a night (we stayed Sat night). My only criticism is that the bathroom was very small (shower screen would not open as right next to the sink) and some of the general fixtures needed attention but other than that an overall good hotel.

Very little information provided from Expedia or hotel about gatherings / pre event entertainment etc. Person who checked us in didn’t know which key was to door or front door (and front door key did not work) luckily someone heard us trying to get in at 11pm and let us in. Emergency light (green) in room is so bright it illuminates room to point it looks like daylight and has to have a towel across eyes to try to block out some light. tea bags are a nice touch however not wrapped or in container who don’t know how long they have been there or if been touched by human hands or insects. Perfect location for a concert at Andield. Room was clean tho Small vent in bathroom didn’t do much for ventilation.

We LOVED our stay at Kabannas. We booked specifically with them knowing they were in the middle of everything we wanted to see - pubs, clubs and restaurants. We could walk everywhere late into to night with no safety concerns at all. I did pre check in which made the process way smoother - a few people trying to self check in at the hotel were having problems. We got our room straight up, no issues, headed down and had great drinks at great prices served by friendly and helpful staff. It’s in a noisy street but we loved the vibe. Honestly, people who book here and then complain about the noise are just tosspots. We got back from partying at the Cavern Club at 2am - no access issues at all. We slept in on our comfy bed and then the helpful staff held breakfast open for us a little longer so we could eat (VERY much appreciated when one has a banging hangover 😂). Would we stay again? Hell yeah - in fact we can’t wait!!
