I would recommend a different choice. There are the basic services you need from a place-a bed, a place for your things. There also exists some creature comforts such as an indoor and outdoor pool and views onto the beach and ocean. Some rooms even have a small kitchen which was the saving grace for me because I found the breakfast to be almost inedible. The hotel would meet expectations easier if it was listed as an apartment complex as the feeling you get inside is that of student housing. The total lack of color, art, or soul detracts from the location which has the possibility to be decent. I choose this hotel for the reasons that it stands out: 1. Good location on the beach and near historical sights. 2. The kitchenette and living room so I can do some work while traveling 3. The indoor pool and gym so I can swim laps while the outdoor pool and bar is good for the sun. I only booked for three nights so I could extend if I enjoyed it or move on somewhere else if I wished. I knew I would move on within the first 10 hours of arriving, and so I enjoyed the rest of my stay and moved onto something that suited me better.

We had a wonderful 9 days at the Regency in late February/ early March. We paid extra to have the Regency club upgrade and we found it was absolutely worth i t. A big shout out to Mr Amr, manager of the club and his excellent team who looked after us and their other guests extremely well. Food was generally excellent not just at the Club lounge but at the main all inclusive restaurant. Choice of food was very generous and was being constantly replenished. We tried a couple of the other restaurants where you have to pay for the meal (we got a free voucher however as part of the club perks) and we were a little underwhelmed. Other guests who tried the Thai restaurant were very pleased. Bedroom was spacious and bed very comfortable. Pillows were probably the best I have had in a hotel. Bathroom also spacious but looked a little worn in places. Not everything was perfect (ac not working first night, tv remote controls not working in both rooms), but the staff were very responsive and very very friendly. Entertainment was provided in the evening but mainly targeted at the mostly Russian guests and while was not our cup of tea, but this was not high on our list in any case, though it may be for you. Some of the swimming pools were heated and were very comfortable. Their house reef makes for excellent snorkelling opportunities. Would happily stay there again.

Lovely staff in all areas. Bar Manager Wael was great. Always making sure we were happy with the service. Barmen work hard everywhere, always smiling and eager to pkease. Good location. Choice of pools. We chose Chillax, over 16's. Restaurant staff very helpful. Air con in the rooms not overly effective, but it was 45 degrees 😂. Would go again.

I stayed here for many nights, the descriptions states it has few restaurants. But doesn't state you'll need to reserve 4 restaurants atleast 24-48hrs before.You cannot eat there without booking. There is only 1 main restaurant that has it's operating time. Breaky 7-10am, lunch 1-3pm dinner 7-9.30. There are not any snack places to eat if you have young children and want something for the them to have away from the designated times. Which is a downside to this resort as kids get hungry and need snacks throughout the day or your timings are just different. Ice cream is served daily 3-4pm only. Which is another downside for a 5star hotel. The are costs are extortionate for spa, and gym if you like to use it. You'll have haggle the prices not ideal for the guest. The hotel cleaning is utterly poorly. Our cleaner called Ahmed never changed our bedding, never refilled soaps or change towels. I used to tell him daily but he always ignored me. The reception didn't take the complaint on board either. Then resort itself is beautiful but doesn't hold 5star treatment. Ive been to better resorts and worth the money we pay. This resort is expensive but low standards. The location is futhur out. excursions prices will always be higher with additional costs. Its 45 mins away from airport. 20 mins away from Senzo mall and 1 hr away from Old dowtown hurghada. I've attached photos of the worn out bedding that they still use. Safety issue lifeguards are limited at pools and beachs.
