The rooms are spacious especially if you book the ones with small pools. Our room did not have blackout curtains. In the past they did and I would suggest they get them back so you can sleep in and also have better privacy. The restaurant is good for breakfast and dinner. In most beaches in Costa Rica it is very crowded. Here I sometimes had the beach all to myself. Great sunsets and you can arrange to ride horses. The ocean waves are rough and I would not advise anyone venturing in too deep unless they have a flotation device. Strong rip currents. The staff are all very welcoming.

This hotel is very beautiful, but something to keep in mind. The food and beverages from the restaurant are very over priced. Just as an example a glass of Prosecco was roughly 22-25$ (USD) which is enough to just go out in town and buy your own bottle. Also, the breakfast for just my wife and I (buffet breakfast) cost us roughly $70 USD. The breakfast selection was basic and not impressive at all. We basically wondered what we paid 70 dollars for when we saw our choices. The property is beautiful and the service was amazing! Please keep in mind it is in the jungle so you will hear jungle noises at night. Which is to be expected and honestly I thought it was pretty neat.
