Aruba Mountain Holidays

The staff were absolutely amazing. They were especially helpful getting us taxis to and from locations. They were extremely helpful with getting a day trip scheduled for us to go on an island tour. The cleaning crew was awesome, daily service was great after coming back from a long day at one of the many beaches. The only negative was the side we were facing had loud music playing each night.

The Barcelo is a very nice hotel however, it is outdated. The sliding doors on the closet did not slide easily and one was very hard to move. The pool is beautiful but, a lot of tiles were missing around the perimeter. The staff were very nice. The rooms were kept clean. The breakfast buffet was good. We enjoyed watching the birds and iguanas while eating breakfast outside.

We brought our own water shoes and snorkeling gear. Didn't get to see any sea turtles, but we heard there were some eating by the sea grass on Baby Beach. The water was so calm and beautiful you could take a nap floating in the water and not get swept out to sea. The resort had a little section of the beach that was set up with a couple canopies that had beach chairs underneath. The pools were nice and clean. The food was surprisingly pretty good for an all inclusive place. We did the romantic dinner in the wine cellar of Portofino that we felt was not worth the price. It felt awkward because everyone was able to see us inside, it was quiet until we connected our music to Bluetooth, the staff came in and out of the room to grab wine for other guests, and the wine cellar connects two restaurants together so staff was walking through the wine cellar. Also the menu was exactly the same. Nothing special except we ate inside the wine cellar. The resort was newly opened since June 2025 so there was still construction being done. We had a great time

Room was great; most rooms have a balcony with a soaking tub! Dinner options and entertainment was great. Outside activity concierge was great - helped us with rental car. Internal concierge not very helpful - did not introduce us to activities and amenities on the resort. Beach was quiet and location of resort was great but it is on the quiet side of the island if that’s your preference. Spa was just ok. We did a couples massage and got 20% off from Expedia booking! All in all we really enjoyed our stay!
