My husband and I stayed at Avra Hotel for four nights and had a wonderful experience. Our room was comfortable, and the staff were very kind and welcoming. The only drawback was the limited parking available on the property.
The hotel is within walking distance of the Old Town, and some street parking is available nearby.

Excellent accommodation, close to Chania if you have a car, and close to the hotel that operates the villas.
Very spacious villas, pool, very good views from the balcony.
The mini-kitchen and the big fridge were very welcome - enough to cook a quick meal and store whatever you bring from the city and surrounding areas.
The cleaning staff are very attentive, and seem to always be in a good mood - adds positively to the atmosphere.
You can make use of the hotel services like spa/massage.
You may want to bring earplugs with you if you are a sensitive sleeper - the cocks from the nearby farm were loud from ~06:00.
