Great pub super location but the restaurant part needs looking at had English breakfast twice and it started at 8am we sat down at 8.05 and the bacon, sausage, hash brown were rock hard and a lot of people were asking for yogurt but were told sorry but delivery was late (3 days late) Would we go again. Yes

A very pleasant stay at a wonderful hotel, staff very attentive and breakfast and dinner were great. This hotel is in walking distance of promenade and town .

We stayed in one of the Lodges. Very clean and well equipped. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies (decent quality not cheap), a great supply of Borders biscuits, and cleaning equipment including tablets for the dishwasher. Only problem was one of the bathrooms didn’t have a lock on the door. Our booking stated check out is 11:00 however the checkout for lodges is 10:00 with no opportunity to request a late checkout. We took a fan with us as wasn’t sure how hot the lodge would be but it was actually very cool once the windows were open. Each room also had fans but we didn’t actually need these in the end despite it being very hot outside. Staff were very polite and friendly. We ate in the bar and couldn’t fault the food. It can get quite noisy if there are big crowds, so if you want a quiet meal I would avoid the bar. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Room was good, clean & well presented except towel rail did not heat so towels did not dry. 3 night stay with damp towels that were not replaced despite being left on shower floor. Reatuarant service non existent, used first evening t hen not again as so awful.

Room are a decent size however no air conditioning in the hotel making room very warm in summer.The room we had also had a towel rail in the bathroom which they could not turn off which made the room very uncomfortable.The dining rooms also very warm without a/c and needs some supervision at breakfast time,did not have dinner there as being to warm .

The whole of the place said disaster to us. The staff were very rude. They also didn’t even give a smile. The cleaning of the room was absolutely terrible. The inside of the cupboards where you put your clothes were all drips of coffee the pigeons you couldn’t open the window as they were just sat outside watching when we asked for help nobody seemed to have a clue what was going on. I am totally disappointed in the whole of the hotel itself. The pigeons were eaten off the table in the bistro. The pool was out of order. The lift was not working and nobody seemed to give a damn about anything the pool outside the actual covers that they gave you to sit on was full of human poo they were absolutely filthy. I just don’t know what to say about this hotel but I feel as though I have wasted my my whole money was hotel I have ever stayed in in my life.

Beautiful little getaway cabin, peaceful and perfect. Staff on check in were polite and accommodating. Clean cabin with everything you need.

The hotel was in a great location. We were a group of 7 Gentlemen Golfers and we stayed in the Hotel for 4 nights. The staff were brilliant, the breakfast was hearty and filling. We enjoyed "chilling" in the indoor swimming pool. Although we did not have a dog with us, it may be helpful to know that the hotel is dog friendly. The gardens of the hotel were exceptional, and you walked through them for easy access to the beach and Town. I would recommend a stay at the Cliffden hotel.
