Florida Gulf Coast Mountain Holidays

We had a wonderful stay at the SkyBeach Resort. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and excited to be staying there. We were able to check in a little earlier than we were scheduled to, which was very helpful. Although it could have used a little more storage, our king deluxe room was a great size for two of us for a week. The only issue we had with our room was that the sliding door was difficult to open and the door to the room did not shut unless you pushed it shut. But both of those were easy to manage. We felt very safe all the time - we'd even go out the sliding door of our patio to walk to other spots in the resort, even if that meant leaving the room unlocked. The resort itself was beautiful. We were there in the off-season, so it wasn’t crowded so sometimes it seemed like we had the place to ourselves, which we loved. We swam in the pool for a little while every day and sat in the hot tub several times. The private beach was very peaceful each morning and evening. I got coffee each morning from the coffee shop and enjoyed it. The location was perfect. It seemed like every time we typed in a place we wanted to go it was about 20 minutes away. We visited multiple beaches in the area, the St. Pete pier, took a ferry to a Egmont Key and Shell key, and had dinner at restaurants from Madeira Beach to St Pete’s. We would absolutely stay here again!

A six page contract with a ton of strict rules can’t move furniture, can’t touch tv, can’t leave sand in any place, leave a/c at 78 degrees etc etc., all these subject to fines. My a/c was pouring water all night and was fixed next morning. There is nobody at the hotel you can reach, that’s why everything is virtual. I don’t recommend it if you are looking for a relax vacation.

The rooms are very nice and clean. There is a pleasant aroma when you enter the building and all through the resort. The food is excellent with excellent prices. I would definitely stay again.
