(5,618 reviews) Great location and great view of Gothenburg. Gothia Towers is an amazing hotel experience. Almost everything you need is in the hotel. The staff is super friendly and the hotel is really clean. It may be a little pricey for some, but the experience is worth it. The hotel is conveniently located for sightseeing attractions, museums, shopping and it's about 20 minutes from the airport. Access to Public transportation hub is 5 minutes walk from the Towers and the major Mall is15 minutes by tram from the Towers. Liseberg Amusement Park is across from the hotel. You have to visit Universeum (less than 10 minutes walk from the Towers) to especially see you the 3D shows. (334 reviews) The grounds and the setting are extremely well thought out and welcoming. I knew to expect issues, as when I called to confirm our massages, I was advised they were never booked into the system and there was no appointments left that day. No apologies - that's just the way things are. We arrived early and were told we needed to wait until 3pm to checkin- no issues - but it was obvious we were seniors. We were then told, our room was on the 3rd floor and we needed to walk and carry our luggage there. Why - there were vacant rooms on the other side of the hotel where the elevator was working. I found the check-in person would not reason with me - ie your room is over there. It's too bad, this person was on the front desk and left this impression. (697 reviews) The room was nice bed was comfy. As I had a weekend stay the next door building work didn’t impact until the Monday when I was leaving early anyway. Check in wasn’t great I selected arrive now and updated booking instead of waiting around for hour it told me room ready went there someone cleaning next door room told me go wait away I’ve not opened it and won’t for 20 minutes. When I went back to room after this in corridor outside was left a dirty towel and pillowcase from room next door. I raised this with the online chat help at 7pm it was not moved until gone 5 the next day (I raised a few times being told it would sorted asap). This side of the stay the cleanliness in communal spaces and the staff I spoke to let they stay down and are why I’ve dropped stars.
