Kennet & Avon Canal Trail Honeymoon Holidays

Too far away from a tube for us and no basics in the rooms such as shower cap or water or biscuits

Great location, beds comfortable, breakfast buffet excellent

Hm

The staff is very kind and welcoming. The facilities and room were clean. Access to the bus was excellent (several just a few steps away); for the tube, it's a 10 minute walk. Having a second room with a kitchenette made the stay more pleasant. The beds were comfortable. However, the bathroom has a barn door and it about a foot away from one of the twin beds. The light switch is outside the door which means that there is no way to avoid shining a light on everyone if you use the facilities at night. The laundromat was a great add but was extremely crowded. Breakfast had a wide variety of foods but was busy and chaotic. There are only 2 elevators for over 100 rooms which means long waits in the am between people going for breakfast &/or check-out.

The staff gave a very warm welcome. I appreciated the offer of a late check out as they were unable to offer an upgrade- incredibly thoughtful. My request for a ground floor room was accommodated and much appreciated given my heavy cases. Breakfast included is a rare occurrence in London and the small but fresh continental selection set me up well. Great value hotel in a good location.
