Nice hotel. Modern room with a decent bed. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Disappointed to find that when you book through Expedia you have to pay extra at the hotel to use the pool and spa (£30 I think it was). I think you also pay extra for parking although the hotel waived that for us. So that why I downgraded to 3 stars (Expedia needs to make it clearer when you book).

Clean room, helpful staff

The hotel is very nice and the staff are very friendly and helpful, however, we were disappointed with the stay overall. We stayed in a classic (cheapest) room and although the bed was comfortable the furniture in the room was cheap and the wardrobe rickety. The spa was one of the worst we've experienced, the pool overly cold as was the steam room and the jacuzzi. The restaurant used to be something special, not anymore. The food was ok but we were looking for something more than a mid range pub menu. Breakfast was also poor, we've had much better choice and quality in a premier inn. We've stayed at this hotel three times and this will be our last. We've stayed in much better hotels for the price.

Very clean rooms and friendly reception staff. The rooms were ready early which was lovely after travelling. Great location, convenient to everything. They held our luggage for us once we checked out which was also helpful. Only negative was the mattress was not very comfortable at all. Luckily it was only for 2 nights.
