North Central Colorado Honeymoon Holidays

We were put in what felt like the proverbial servant’s quarters, though we booked a premium room and reserved an upgrade. The front desk staff boarded on offensive and though we did finally get moved to a proper room on our second night, the memory of hearing other guests loudly all night and morning in the adjoining to our old was hard to forget. Facing the parking garage was also a first in all our multi years of travel around the world. The first night felt like a Motel 6, but far worse. The restaurant Panzana however had splendid cuisine and the doormen were very kind and helpful. Will not stay at this hotel again unless we can be assured of receiving a proper room, not some afterthought space being marketed as a guest room.

This was a gorgeous hotel with rich history, well maintained, great location to walk downtown and great entertainment in the evening in the main foyer and bar. Rooms were spacious and clean.

The location and historic nature of the hotel are highlights. Walking distance to both Coors Field and Ball Arena. Also, immediately adjacent to Union Station for train and bus travel. My main complaint would be the relatively tired condition of the guest room we stayed in. For the price I would expect a much fresher room in terms of paint, carpet, bathroom, operable windows, etc. Overall, would love to stay again, but request a refreshed room.
