We had booked a double room for our honeymoon stay, with much anticipation for the hotel, we even included a message to make sure our room was suitable for such an occasion. We weren't expecting anything extra but we weren't provided with a double room like we booked. We were instead given a twin room with beds pushed together, and there were quite a few bugs in the room including some cockroaches. It was just a bit disappointing, especially for the price paid, and the fact that the spa is under renovation so we were mostly paying for the quality of the room which was below average. No compensation was provided for this despite asking if we could have the room we booked instead, none were available only twin rooms. I would like to say that the reception and bar staff were lovely and very helpful, and the cleaning staff attentive.
