Brussels-Capital Region Honeymoon Holidays

Second visit to this hotel, previous room at the front of the building with views overlooking the various landmarks of Brussels, a quiet room with a nice view. This time I stayed in the garden area which was at the rear of the hotel, also quiet and overlooking the gardens with calming sounds of birds etc. both nice options. Used the gym and enjoyed excellent breakfast options, fresh fruit, pastries, hot cooked options and a new breakfast menu on each table to select from, a nice improvement which included a Belgian waffle. Breakfast again was excellent. The location is ideal for short stays with a metro nearby to visit other parts of Brussels and easy 8 stops from midi station. This hotel area is quiet and very convenient for working at the EU HQ. It is easy enough to get to the other areas if needed by transport. A nice option for short stays in Brussels. The hotel itself was perfect, especially the family room (we had a room for 5) which was spacious and clean. The staff were lovely. It was a 5 minute walk to the Midi train station and 15-20 minute walk to the Grand-Place, which was also very convenient. However, the area in which the hotel is situated is very dirty, with piles of trash in the streets. There was also quite a bit of loud construction in the area. We would not have felt safe walking back to the hotel at night in this area (and were specifically advised not to), which did limit our evening plans.

The staff were extremely polite and courteous and did everything they could to help while I was there.

Could be cleaner. Getting the temperature while showering was also very tricky.

Located in a safe and quiet area of Brussels close to a grocery store and some restaurants. I stayed here with my kids for 6 nights and the walk to the main square was too far for them to do by foot. We tried taking public transit but there wasn’t a direct route so timing connecting bus or trams often resulted in us opting to take uber for 15-30 Euros. Staff were very nice. The hotel is older, no casting options so we used our iPad. The one bedroom had frosted glass which was hard to get kids to bed if I wasn’t ready to sleep too. Kind of defeated the purpose of a one bedroom unit for me. I’d likely get a hotel closer to the train station or the main square in future so we are closer to the tourist attractions.

Although nice to be near the square, the garbage was not pleasant to see as well noise late one night.
