Twin Cities Honeymoon Holidays

This is a meh (or a little less than meh). Great location for downtown events with accessible parking. Lobby was fine and there's an attached restaurant with mediocre service. Don't worry, they will cover this review with a slew of image-repair comments to keep their average rating high. The room was decent sized. Baseboards filthy. A couple of safety pins (evidently from previous guest) were beside bed open. Obviously had not been vacuumed for a while. The guest bed was like climbing Mount Everest with broken box springs. AC was permanently set at 70 with no chance to change and the fan blew to the room window, providing no relief for the guests. Bathroom had mold around the tub with a low pressure shower nozzle making it an ordeal to get shampoo out of hair. When we voiced concern to the staff, we got no relief except a card slid under our door saying they were in the room that morning - although we were in the room all morning and nobody arrived. They staff knew little of the area, instead simply tearing off a paper map as if that would suffice for suggestions of area eateries, etc. We requested second day towel service and, instead, had to return to the front desk after we returned to room at 11 p.m. to get them to give us towels to carry to room. Biggest disappointment is that this all could have been different with a couple minutes of effort on their part. Won't return.
