We really enjoyed our stay at the Samian Mare. The staff are so helpful and the the hotel is very contemporary in style and very clean. It’s in a great location across the road from the beach.

We had a lovely time at this hotel with the kids. The kids pool is perfect to let adults rest on the side but keep a close eye on them. Rooms are basic but clean. The lift needs an upgrade as it is like entering a prison and the wardrobes of Narnia at the same time! Great coffee's from the pool car.

Nice and clean hotel in the heart of Pythagorio. Two minutes walk to beach, port, restaurants and famous cafe shops. No rental car needed is a big plus. Breakfast was looking good but we never had anything but a coffee. Bartender Iro was over and beyond with her service. If Samos is your destination and don’t want to move much, choose one of the doryssas from the chain (theorem or method if you would), you won’t regret it!

Superb property - clean, cool rooms with outstanding sea views. Awesome pool, and great breakfast. Best part - the staff. Lovely people who cannot do enough for you. We’ll be back!

Loved this place so much. The pool was excellent, breakfast delicious, restaurants real good and plenty of them for choices. The property is very beautiful. We had the deluxe garden view which I recommend. We only stood 3 nights but I would stay longer next time and one day we took a ferry to Turkey for a day trip to Ephesus which was fantastic. You would need to rent a car if you want to sightsee the island as well.

Breakfast is very good. Staff is young and energetic. Sea is amazing

The hotel sits right by the beach which is quite nice beach and has sunbeds but the service at the beach is very poor . You have to go and get them from the pool area and it takes a long time to get served . Breaks fast is also nothing special and the choice and the quality of the food served is also nothing special . The waiters don’t even bother to ask you if you want tea/ coffee etc . You have to try and catch their attention and ask for everything yourself . There isn’t a big choice of hotels in Chios especially at the higher end so you are a bit stuck with this level of accommodation . Maybe small family run hotels may offer better service / food etc . On the day of check in we arrived around 10.30/ 11 pm and on the day of check out they were really strict that we had to vacate the room between 11 max 12 . There is a mini bar in the room but it was totally empty and they didn’t even leave a bottle of water . There was a safe in the room but it was not working ( no battery ) So you can understand the level of attention this hotel provides to its clients .
