The rooms were clean and spacious. I appreciated having a refrigerator in the room. Perfect location for walking to pretty much everything. Very close to the train station.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The spa, pool and sauna were great, especially after all the walking in Edinburgh. I would recommend this hotel to anybody vacationing here.

Stayed for 2 nights. Staff meds us feel very welcome and accommodating.. situation ideal for restful break in woodland surroundings.

The staff were very helpful and we only had coffee for breakfast. We really enjoyed the spa facilities in the partnered hotel. Which is where we really wanted to stay but there was no room when we booked.

Hotel is very well located and lovely in many ways. It was let down by the very hot bedrooms (air con don’t seem to work) and the quality of the food. Asked for a rare steak and was very much medium/well done. Burnt black pudding at breakfast. Maybe chef has having an off couple of days.

The room was quiet, clean, spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was large, impeccably clean, with a separate tub and shower and enormous, warm bath towels. There was a foyer with a door that prevented any noise from the hall getting through to the room. The breakfast and breakfast service was first rate. The front desk was friendly and very helpful.
