Europe Golf Holidays

Been here so many times over 35 years. Lovely tranquility around the pool, wonderful friendly staff. Love it here and will be returning.

very child focused not suitable for retired couples having a relaxing break otherwise still a good resort

We have booked often at the Dalmahoy on our visits to Edinburgh over the years but not again. Standards have slipped. We had parties of schoolchildren running in the corridors at 10:30 at night and the following night a lads party in our adjoining bedroom that finished at 2am. Our room had an odd musty smell like a leaking pipe somewhere. The bathroom door handle was hanging down and there was mold on the bathroom wall. On checking out, I did report this dissatisfaction to the Receptionist. She undertook to call me later that day with an update. Five days later and I am still waiting. Five years ago, Joe Biden stayed there. I cannot imagine any presidential advisor recommending the Dalmahoy again. Sort it out Warner Hotels. Where is your investment? And brand management? Are school coach parties really the way forward for you here?

This resort was very nice and offered two very good dining/bar options. The golf course provided a quality, true links course experience and being seaside enhanced the whole Irish coast ambience. We needed help getting the thermostat and heat/cooling right in our room but their maintenance man got to our room right away. I can confidently recommend this property to travelers, especially golfers.
