(323 reviews) The staff who checked us in placed us in a wrong smaller room on the first night but day after Bianca moved us to the Deluxe room that we booked/paid for - thank you Bianca. Deluxe room is spacious, clean, quiet even though there’s a restaurant down below. Comfortable bed. Hotel has a lot of stairs, not suitable for those with mobility issues. We had an incident when the elevator door failed to open and for a few minutes we were stuck inside. Since then we did not use the elevator for the next two days. We will not stay in this hotel again for the reason that when we got stuck in the elevator and pressed the emergency call button nobody answered. (234 reviews) A good hotel. The breakfast buffet had a great selection, the staff were polite and the location itself was far enough from the centre of Split to be very quiet whilst only being a leisurely hour stroll from Old Town. The cleanliness of the whole place and surrounding area was very good. Just a couple of negatives - the shower leaked onto our bathroom floor the whole time, which we raised 3 times with 2 different members of staff. Nothing was done about it the whole time we were there, with only vague promises of somebody from maintenence trying to fix it 'at some point'. Given we were in a 'deluxe suite', it didnt feel very deluxe. The area surrounding the hotel is also undergoing a lot of construction. Not a problem day-to-day, but getting public transport or taxis is doubly hard with blocked roads and this should have been something that the hotel is upfront about at check-in. The final slight plus point is that the sauna was unavailable for our entire stay.
