As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

This is a beautiful and fabulously managed hotel. It has everything you could possibly need, and in the most gorgeous setting. Highly recommended.

Bonjour! What a wonderful little but delightful Maison. Lovely, friendly welcome. The staff are all very friendly and professional and the house and rooms are all fabulous and especially the spiral staircase. My room was large, spacious, clean and modern with high ceiling and view over the small pool. It’s a classic small mansion style you will see in photos, almost boutique as I’m sure all the rooms are different. I came in winter so couldn’t enjoy the pool and health facilities but I’ll bet it’s just amazing in spring and summer and so I’d love to come back with my partner too. The trams stop just outside so if you wanted to get to the centre it’s ideal but also the local area is friendly and safe too. I was here with business but would definitely return. Pleasant hotel but, sadly, not the standard you would expect from a 4 * hotel. Our superior room had a bathroom door that was completely rotted and although this was pointed out to the staff they did nothing about it. The bathroom also had a smell and chipped tiles. We had 2 meals at dinner and the food was excellent! Handy location for the airport which was not too far away. Although it was situated in a not particularly attractive area the car park was locked and monitored so your car was safe.

This was a wonderful beautiful hotel! Just like the pictures. Our jr suite opened up to two loungers 8ft from the vines Great staff really amazing grounds! 5mins to the best wineries and 10mins to The village of St emillion!
