Mont Shefford Fishing Holidays

Great location. Supermarkets, cafes and restaurants in walking distance. Safe neighborhood. Missing some basics like non stick pans, only one towel per person, limited paper towels, limited coffee pods, no dish towel in the kitchen. Room upstairs in the back was hot and ac wasn’t helping. Good stuff - clean, hot tub was nice, beautiful balcony. Street Parking was confusing so went to private lot instead. Overall, pretty good but some small areas for improvement.

The whole unit was clean and accommodating. The only negative thing I would say would be the bedding. Very basic and had very lumpy comforter. Wasn’t the best sleep. Expected a little bit more quality at that price point. Other than that, great spot.

This is an apartment in a standard old 3 story Montreal building. Very representative of typical downtown Montreal living. But beware - these places have little or no soundproofing. You will hear every footstep of the people above you, and the voices next door. This was OK for much of our stay but we were unlucky the first night, when people upstairs, including children, were walking and running almost continually until 1am, preventing sleep. But the other nights were not so bad. There is a lot of space, a good kitchen, and a bus stop to central Montreal right outside. And it is in an area with many nice cafes, restaurants, and tiny unique shops.

The apartment is nice. It’s an old building and has character. It could really use some TLC the sliding doors in the washroom that cover the water tank and washer and dryer were broken. Whoever painted the apartment could’ve taken more care and trying not to drip paint all over the floor. There is a sitting bench in the apartment and it was all sticky with spelt drinks, so obviously it hadn’t been cleaned.What really bothered me was the smell of cigarette, for an absolutely non-smoking apartment it was very evident that there had been smoking tenants. I wouldn’t call it a hotel. No one ever came to clean the rooms or the washroom. They never gave us new towels. We were there for four days and we had to keep reusing the towels. There is no one around at the front desk or any Cleaning staff. I have messaged the property directly a few times and no one gets back to you. So expect it to be renting an apartment and doing your own cleaning. The location is awesome, and the apartment has everything you need in it. we really enjoyed being in the heart of old Montreal and have that much space rather than a small hotel room
