We were so impressed with our stay at the RIU. The staff weren’t above and beyond to assure that our stay was a great one. Right from the Bellman at the entrance to the restaurant staff, everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. The location is ideal. You can get wherever you need to go within about 30 to 40 minutes whether it’s shopping or taking in a sporting event. The complementary buffet breakfast was also outstanding.

It was clean but overall poor communication, it took us 3 times to call for them to answer when we got there, the beds were rock hard, I was told check in was at 3pm but when I got there I had to pay $50 because “check in was at 5pm” also wasn’t told we would be staying with somebody else until we got there

My first time staying an a Canopy property and I was beyond impressed. Everything was so cozy and clean and aesthetically appealing. The neighborhood was safe and the train was a block away. Ideal location for those who don’t want to spend lots of money on uber or rental cars. The heated indoor pool was a plus for the winter days that I went. I felt super safe the entire time. This was a solo trip and I couldn’t have picked better accommodations, clean and beautiful. Restaurant amazing! Staff was super friendly, and the hotel was pristine. Will be staying there again! So worth it .

Absolutely adored my stay here from start to finish. The hotel is so beautifully designed and the ambiance is great. The gym has all brand new equipment which is in pristine condition. Every single staff member was so kind and helpful it was so refreshing.

I have to say this new hotel is perfect for what I wanted. Fantastic location, new, super clean, comfy bed and pillows, little kitchenette, and quiet for downtown Toronto! Parking is not even a block away. And underground.I think it’s gonna be my new go to when I come to the city.

Excellent location, walking distance to lots of great shops and restaurants like Storm Crow Manor. I love the underground parking, felt very secure. The room was big but didn't feel super clean. We had fresh sheets on the bed, and fresh garbage bin, but there were random pompoms (?) around the room, and the bathroom walls are pretty stained. It's the best value for the location though! I ended up being charged more at check in, than I was quoted on my Expedia booking, which was a bummer. But the staff is great, and I didn't really push it with them.
