The service and the rooms are good. However the quality of the food and variety was poor. Need to be careful as I got a stomach bug which is common in Egypt but it usually comes from local water and the drinks they use with ice are using tap water and fruit and veg is washed with tap water.

Location was amazing – the hotel sits on its own island in the Nile and the views around the resort are stunning. Pools are excellent in size and position, especially the infinity pool overlooking the river, but they could have been cleaner: a bit murky and the pool floor wasn’t pristine, so not quite 5‑star.
Rooms were very poor for a 5‑star resort: extremely basic and not luxurious at all. We had a family room advertised as two rooms, but there’s no door between them, so it’s really one big room.
Breakfast was very average. Variety was OK, but most of the food tasted old and stale. Not 5‑star standard. The à la carte restaurant for dinner was decent; nothing wrong with it, but nothing special either.
It’s about a 20‑minute taxi ride to Karnak. Taxis organised by the hotel cost a bit more, but they were fast and included the driver waiting and providing a return trip.
Overall, very good value and the location alone is worth it, but this is not a true 5‑star experience.

Excellent resort with an outstanding atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The food could be improved in terms of quality, but there is a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. Overall, I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
