Lake Mälaren Cheap Holidays

We used this hotel as a base for the Vattenrundan ride andit was great choice. The breakfasts start at 0530 so useful if you are away early, and even late in the evening you can get pizza and drinks for late arrivals (like us). The staff were very helpful. The only thing you have t be careful about is some rooms do not have an en suite bathroom, but use a communal bathroom instead. The room was compact, but plenty big enough for a couple of nights and the windows open fully to get lots of fresh air in. Theres nothing at all in the area - its basically there just for airport business.

I am going to quote my trip diary: Home Hotel Uppsala - 1 night. Lovely hotel and my worries about my inappropriate attire were not realized because there were a lot of tourists, many my age, dressed casually. There are the typical European bathroom fixtures and also the same card method that requires insertion in a slot to use for the lights and elevators. Wonderful bed and blackout curtains enabled me to have my first good night’s rest during these long midsomer nights. Places to tour and shops and restaurants are within an easy walking distance. Also, we were able to get limited parking onsite. The breakfasts, afternoon fikas (coffee breaks), and dinners in the hotel restaurant are included in the price and are authentically Swedish and delicious.
