Great room - fantastically located - brilliant amenities

The facade and several areas of the ground floor have been restored in this once fabulous mansion owned by the President of the Bank of Montreal and the Canadian Pacific Railway. The most luxurious residence in Canada in the 1800’s. Worth seeing this section (no hotel rooms in this area) Our room in the modern hotel section was clean and spacious. Great helpful staff. Close to the Art Museum and shops on Sherbrooke and various restaurants. Easy access to the subway for old Montreal or a not too bad taxi/uber ride. We are foodies so found the menu rather uninspiring and did not try the restaurant.

Front desk staff went above and beyond when I left personal items behind after checking out.

This place brings luxury to another level. We stayed in the Grand View City room, and the 15 foot ceilings and giant window to the city was breathtaking. Add in the open glass shower so you can look out into the city at night if you wanted… absolute top tier.

It was a pleasant two nights stay overall; however, I strongly recommend communications and client facing training for the front desk staffs as I found them rude and not friendly at all. A little smile and kindness goes along way with no additional cost!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hôtel Bonaparte. It is a stunning boutique hotel, and the entire team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special shout-out to Nathaniel at the front desk, whose warm demeanor and helpfulness truly stood out. ​Our room was spotless, and housekeeping was exceptionally efficient—towels and toiletries were abundant and promptly replenished whenever requested. When we ran into a minor shower temperature issue one evening, maintenance responded immediately. They were wonderfully cheerful and fixed it right away. ​The ground-floor restaurant was a fantastic convenience, offering attentive service, a delicious breakfast, and excellent food throughout. When it was time to leave, the concierge seamlessly assisted with our luggage as our taxi arrived. With its ideal location within walking distance of everything, Hôtel Bonaparte delivered a perfect stay. We cannot recommend it highly enough and will definitely be back!
