Ugljan Island Cheap Holidays

Given the cleaning fee, we expected a higher level of cleanliness. Some of the mobile homes are also farther from the beach than depicted in the photos. There’s room for improvement in sustainability efforts, such as better recycling options and care for stray animals. That said, the location is excellent for visiting Paklenica National Park, and we appreciated the early check-in and free parking.

It's a beautiful place but nowhere was it advertised that if you go during shoulder season (we went at beginning of May), they have very limited staff so several amenities are unavailable (e.g. spa, beach rentals, large restaurant, etc.). Also, the hours, food and drink options for the restaurant by the water were very limited. As a result, we didn't get the full experience we paid for. The villa and pool were very clean and had nice outdoor space and furniture (with the exception of only 2 curtains and limited privacy - see below). The kitchen only had one garbage bag and 1 hand towel for an 8 night stay, but was otherwise well-equipped. Hair dryer was very small, weak and attached to the wall, so if you have long & thick hair, bring your own. The villa could sleep 6 people but the water heater is small so showers have to be quick. Not possible for it to handle 6 people. The pool was very clean as well. In the photos, it shows the villa has 6 outdoor curtains. When we arrived, it only had 2. We asked for another to get more privacy and they told us they only have 2. So we then asked to have one of the curtains moved to another section. They sent someone to the villa but he said he didn't have the right tools and would return the next morning. He never returned. Perhaps this place is awesome during peak season, but we were a bit disappointed that we didn't have full amenities during our stay.

Central location so can easily walk the old city and promenade. Room large with enjoyable design (my room had a large tub!). Large windows that open, with shutters that effectively blocked light and almost all sound. Noisy during day as at main square but with shutters quiet at night. No elevators but host carried up suitcase (thanks Lovre). Appreciated the treats.

The A/C was switched off & we had 3 sleepless nights due to being to hot.They did manage to provide a noble A:c unit but not much good. Too noisy

The access to the water was great…if you enjoy cold swimming. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great apartment. Check in was at the restaurant also owned by the host where we had breakfast each morning included. Clean, quiet, well equipped, great shower. Everything is walkable in Zadar Old Town so amazing location.

We loved the washer-getting in a couple of loads really helped on an 1 month trip. Also , a nice deck overlooking the rooftops… hard to see the ocean tho. Parking on the property is always good ( no fee or parking 2 blocks away). Overall, a very comfortable stay and well worth the price. You will need to haul you luggage up 2 flights of steps tho.
