Vosges Mountains Cheap Holidays

Only issue, air conditioning wasn't working, the whole 5th floor. I would return back to this hotel.

The hotel is located in Altstadt of Basel on a quite street. It's 15 min by walk from Basel SBB or 2 stops away by street car. Museums, cafes restaurants, groceries, and other shops are short walk away from the hotel. The staff is friendly and professional. Overall, I'm satisfied.

All staff were so very friendly and helpful, wanting to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Food was gastronomic, plentiful and delicious, accompanied by great wine. Spa was very relaxing. Very comfortable modern bedroom.

It was a delightful surprise to find this impressive boutique hotel. Staff were excellent & our room was more than we expected. The restaurant served a plentiful, unique, & varied dinner on the patio. Despite the incredible heat it was fairly cool. And so delicious. Our stay was made even better when they provided taxi service from Basel airport & then to the airport the next morning. Promptly on time. I regret not using the spa service.

Check in was not good. We arrived early, could not occupy our room..totally understandable, however, the hostess said she would call us when it was ready, she never did. We sat in the lobby from 1pm-3pm in full view of the front desk, no call. I went to the desk at 3pm and the room was ready and our bags were already in the room, which meant that our room was ready sometime before 3pm. Expedia's site and the hotels site both indicated the hotel had air conditioning...it does not...it was very warm. It was100 degrees outside. The TV channel selection was terrible. Both websites showed a sofa in the room, but our room did not have a sofa. Had to change rooms to one that had a sofa. The hotel is beautiful and the room itself was awesome. Great location.

Throughout our 3 days stay despite complaints air conditioning was not working. We slept in the room with a fan besides us. Disgusting and no one attempted to look into same. Staff was uncooperative even while advising good restaurants. Very slow. Staff had lot of difficulty in understanding English

Prime location, spacious rooms and modern ambiance.

Most of the staff members were great housekeeping was iffy. Some days the room was cleaned and tidied some days nothing much was done and the bed was not made. Fairly quiet shops around but they have odd opening and closing times. Great restaurant attached to the hotel open for lunch and dinner you can get room service from there to your room which is great affordable and delicious. Hotel breakfast was good nice coffee tea pastries fruit eggs etc. We felt safe and loved the ability to walk around easily. Would stay again.

Conveniently located hotel, very comfortable family room with plenty of space to move around. We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast selection which was excellent & really tasty!
