Verzasca Valley Cheap Holidays

The room was clean, service friendly and helpful, the restaurant food was very good. Unfortunately, we were there during a heat wave, and the AC in the room was old and unable to cool the room down to a comfortable level. Also, the ceiling lights did not work at all.

We only stayed one night at this hotel and left pre-sunrise, so we really didn't get the full flavor of what the hotel might have had to offer (and certainly didn't get to try their breakfast). What we did experience, however, was comfort and a friendly staff.

What a gem of a place! It's run by two folks who clearly put a lot of care, attention, and hospitality knowledge into the experience. I loved the location which was across from a bus stop that runs right into town, next to a grocery store, and within short walking distance of the lovely Ascona waterfront. It was also a good location for morning runs. The breakfast was good and while I didn't try the restaurant, it had lively crowds and the food looked delicious. Highly recommend!
