The location is beautiful with breakfast beingable to be taken on the roof top terrace, with the selection being very good. the only downside was not having staff on site all the time that were visible,

The staff were very friendly. They offered a lot of tips on shopping and dining options a few meters away. Bed and pillows were extra comfortable.

Our stay at the Excelsior Hotel Ernst am Dom was amazing, and not long enough! The room was absolutely beautiful with plenty of space, and the staff was so welcoming and friendly! It's an excellent location right around the corner from the train station and the Dom and shopping! This will always be our go to hotel when visiting Cologne!

No parking. We had to park blocks away in a paid parkade that was expensive. Came for the pool but didn’t get a chance to enjoy due to our lateness, as well you have to pay extra for access to it which was not worth the 1-2 hours of potential enjoyment that we could’ve had. We also did not feel that safe in this area of the city where the hotel was. A lot of graffiti everywhere. What appeared to be the ?homeless consuming drugs during our walk from the parkade. I would not come to this hotel again.

The hotel and room were clean however location was not convenient to restaurants. We stayed during the heat wave so to be fair if the weather had been more pleasant the walk to find a place to eat wouldn't have been so arduous.

We requested a walk in shower as travelling with my elderly mother and they were able to accommodate us. Perfect. Location was a stone throw from the cathedral, Ludwig museum and a 5 min stroll to the water. Loved the hotel.

Service and cleanliness were great but it would be better if there’s a microwave.
