Saint Helen's Island Cheap Holidays

I love this hotel.its my “go to” when I visit Montreal. I was sad when Sonder closed and was happy to see it reopen under Hotel Monroe. Great walkable location - big rooms perfect for traveling with friends Our 18th floor room had a great view of city especially at night. Good gym - nice pool area which I never have time to use. 20th floor terrace nice for sunset drinks.

Loved the room I stayed in. Full length window into the shower could be fun for couples, especially those into cuck play. Breakfast was disappointing.

This property was an absolute gem hidden directly inside old Montreal. We walked outside our room to live violin and street performers. It is a beautiful, modern and comfortable full apartment for all your needs. Perfect, private and quiet for couples. We were provided detergent to clean our clothes which was such a necessity after our Oshega weekend, as well as snacks to hold us over until we went for dinner just a walk away from our room. Adding to our absolute favourites and already planning to be back. Thank you guys for sharing such a lovely home, we treated it as our own. <3

Room was clean, well ventilated at the perfect temperature. Super quiet. The shades are opaque and kept the room super dark (woke up past 9am and didnt feel like it was this late) Staff at the front desk went above and beyond to help us access our room. (I have never seen a front desk clerk lead us all the way to the elevator wishing us a great stay. Thank you Jade, after a long harsh day, this little extra attention was very appreciated)

For a 5-star hotel, this was a bit of a letdown. We stayed in another local hotel (4-star) for 2 days, Birks for 2 days and an Airbnb for the remainder 4 days of our trip. While the highlight of the itinerary should have been our Birks stay, it unfortunately was not. The previous 4-star hotel beat this one by a mile. Birks valet was unwelcoming and forceful- leading us to opt not to use valet and park ourselves. A Birks guest was shouting at the front desk about their rates, leading our check-in to be minimal information supplied. The balcony room I specifically reserved for my husband’s birthday, had a single uncomfortable metal chair on the unkempt balcony- not really ideal for enjoying the city sounds or morning coffee together. Not sure if one of us was suppose to stand or we should take turns. (Haha) pictures on website don’t represent well in person. Shower looks to expose to room and does not. Restaurant was great and fast for breakfast on our departure day, but otherwise didn’t enjoy any other aspect of this hotel. Also, the sounds of children and other guests nearby could be heard through the walls at all hours.

I forgot a lot of money in my room after checkout and the hotel called me immediately to pickup. Very honest
