This caused significant confusion, with guests congregating in the lobby. Despite the commotion, the staff continued with check-ins and failed to communicate effectively with those of us who had evacuated the building. The following day, I inquired as to why the apartment hotel did not provide knives, making it difficult to prepare meals. It seems essential to have a sharp knife, particularly if guests are expected to cook. One of the primary reasons I chose this hotel was to save on dining expenses, and this was a major inconvenience. Additionally, I noticed that the website stated a late check-out option was available "subject to availability" and free of charge for an extra hour. However, when I requested this, I received a generic response stating that I would need to pay a \$30 fee, despite the website's conflicting information. This discrepancy left me somewhat disappointed.

Location is great and quiet hotel

Rooms were large for Melbourne a few minor renovations or repairs were needed (fridge temperature gauge, TV functionality and water pressure in shower.
