This hotel is an oldie but a goodie. Well positioned if you can cross roads. It represents good value if you are out all day sightseeing. Why pay more if you’re not there? Close to the beautiful old town or downtown Cairo that has many touches of Paris or French influences but naturally is a bit more dusty! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Honeymoon – Made Exceptional by Sherly Our honeymoon at The Palace of the Lost City was extraordinary, but what truly made it unforgettable was the incredible care and dedication of one staff member: Sherly. From the moment we arrived she went far beyond what we expected. Knowing it was our honeymoon, she had our room beautifully prepared with romantic touches like rose petals and wine which made our stay feel incredibly special. Before travelling, I had mentioned a very personal hope – that I might somehow reconnect with my nanny who cared for me when I lived here as a small child over 30 years ago. It felt like an impossible dream, yet Sherly quietly made it happen. She found her and arranged for us to meet, creating one of the most emotional and meaningful moments of my life. Sherly continued to exceed expectations throughout our stay. When our hot air balloon trip was cancelled due to wind, she personally helped arrange the refund. When we realised we had accidentally booked our airport transfer for the wrong day, she immediately organised a new one and made sure we reached the airport in time. Her warmth, kindness and calm professionalism made us feel completely looked after. The Palace itself is magnificent, but staff like Sherly elevate the experience from wonderful to unforgettable. She is an outstanding ambassador for the hotel and truly deserves recognition. We cannot wait to return!

Bed sheets and pillow cases were not clean. Asked receptionist to change them but request was ignored.

The reception area when you enter the Movenpick Hotel in Tangier is very impressive. My wife and I were greeted by the lovely concierge team and one of the team members in a full Moroccan outfit served us nice hot mint tea. The front desk member Faical was very kind and attentive and showed us our room which had a beautiful sea view. The hotel manager Mohamed was also very helpful throughout our stay and Manal at the reception also assisted my wife and I when we needed any help or advice on where to go for sightseeing and shopping. They were all a shining example of warm Moroccan hospitality. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of different food. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. The bathrooms were also a good size. The rooms need some maintenance work and generally need to be updated as they are looking old and dated. The hotel is in a wonderful location with beach access. Unfortunately the pool was closed due to maintenance. There is also a very nice park/gardens across the road. Most small taxi rides from the hotel to the Centre Shopping Mall cost between 10-20 Dirhams. We stayed for 3 nights and had a good experience. Hopefully the management can start work on updating the rooms soon.

The property is in a very good location, the facilities in the hotel are good and staff is polite and helpful. I would have given 4.5 stars but am giving 3 only because the spa facilities were a total let down. The staff in the spa provided no explanation, the description of the offerings was misleading and our experience of taking the spa treatments was very disappointing.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We were able to check in early which was appreciated. The pool was very nice. Appreciated the shuttle boat and used it several times. The food in the restaurant was good. Breakfast was good but it was a little confusing where to find things as the buffet was spread over several rooms. Perhaps as guests arrive for breakfast a staff member could explain the layout. No housekeeping provided- perhaps you need to request it. If so, explain this to guests.
