The staff are wonderful and make you feel at home. The property is very clean - we spotted a couple of dead roaches outside, but nothing alarming, as they do not make their way inside the rooms. Something to note is that although the property is getting renovated, the rooms do not all look exactly like what is shown in the photos. They vary. Some small improvements could go a long way - for example, more toiletries that other hotels offer (small comb, cotton ear swabs, bar soap, shower caps, a steamer or iron). The other problem is privacy. If you're staying in the first-floor rooms by the garden, there are only blackout curtains covering the completely bare windows. There should be some sheer curtains added, allowing the sunshine in while also giving privacy. Otherwise, you have to hang out in the pitch dark so as not to be seen by the folks hanging out by the pool or the staff working throughout the day. Not a huge deal, but it's inconvenient, so you may want to ensure you're booked on the 2nd floor if privacy is important to you. The restaurant food was wonderful and delicious. If you're looking for a child-free, convenient location, this is a good option. Overall, I would stay here again.

Absolutely stunning views of the truly aquamarine-colored water, tan and pink sand, and blue skies from the room as well as from the entire campus. Amazingly friendly and warm and attentive staff. Great beach access for swimming and even snorkeling. Room could use blackout shades to help us not wake up at the earliest sunrise. Bar drinks were a little small and a little expensive. The Surf Terrace menu's burger was fantastically juicy and ample while the charcuterie plate's meats were skimpy. Easy to hop on public busses to go anywhere on the island. A few different off-campus great restaurants were accessible by walking or short bus trips - Lost In The Triangle; Paraquet; and Ice Queen.

The staff was absolutely fantastic. Everyone had a smile and wished us a good day. Gold level was worth every penny. Breakfasts, tea and afternoon drinks and nibbles were superb!

Lovely staff and property! The hotel provides a shuttle to the beach + restaurants and a water taxi to Hamilton making moving around easy. Our room was spacious, quiet, and clean. Would absolutely stay here in the future!

First off, the rooms at The Loren are large, beautifully appointed, and the bathrooms spacious and well lit. The ocean views from the 2nd floor rooms are as good as promised - we stayed in the main building and the waves crashing on the beach were literally 20 feet away. The main cocktail bar is a bit of a disappointment; it felt like it was an afterthought by the architect. It's tucked away in a corner on a floor below reception and above the restaurant. Sadly, it's not an inviting location to have a drink. The front desk crew are pleasant and willing to help but they seemed ill trained and uncertain as to what to do when we asked for assistance with a couple of issues. One simple task that never made it to the right person - despite being written down and passed along - was booking a taxi for our trip to the airport the next day. We had learned to double check on requests run thru the front desk... and sure enough the bellman was never informed of our "confirmed" request for a taxi. Note - we stayed in room 203, in the main building. The penthouse is above this and the other rooms on the floor. There was a family with young children staying there for our last 2 nights, and every morning, afternoon, and early evening it sounded like a herd of elephants had been set free. If you get assigned a 2nd floor suite in this section make sure to inquire about who, if anyone, is staying in the penthouse. Please, no kids.
