Upstate New York Adventure Holidays

The hotel was about 80% empty, yet they gave us a non view second floor (NO ELEVATOR) room that, get this, SHARED A DOOR WITH THE ROOM NEXT DOOR! We heard every word of their conversations, phone calls, Tv etc. and they were up at 5am making noise. All unnecessary if they spaced the guests out for adequate privacy. The front desk had no explanation except telling us that we got the second-rate room because we booked with Expedia. I said, “What difference should that make because THE INN ASSIGNS THE ROOMS!” They offered zero compensation. Told me to request compensation through Expedia. For almost $200 a night to forget! I will ask Expedia for a refund.
