The hotel is very dated and basic. I know it’s a Fairmont and iconic on the outside but the indoor spaces really need an update. Basic king room was small which was fine and I was prepared for that based on reviews but the bathroom is so tiny it was hard to navigate, move, or keep your things in it.
Great location, though, and as noted in other reviews the staff I encountered were so nice and friendly.
Across from Union Station which was great to take the train to a concert out of the city but beware if driving in like I did, right around 5 pm, there are swarms of people crossing streets and walking thru the valet area of the hotel to get to the train station.
Good stay, though, made it work but pricey for how basic, dated and small it was.
