Front desk staff of only one or two were overwhelmed with crush of cruise passengers at check in and out. Need more staff at those times

Great hotel, good location, staff very helpful.

Unfortunately, this is a beautiful property with immense potential that has been downgraded to a minimum corporate effort under a huge hotel chain. Many details have disappeared from the room since my previous stays under different management, such as bathroom amenities, bathrobes, notepads. The towels are now super thin and worn. It used to be a premium boutique hotel, now it's a bad book in a nice cover. In the restaurant, inexperienced staff took a long time to take our order, clean tables etc. Instead of the original cozy setting and candles, the tables now have flashy cardboard adverts for a deal on mussels. Breakfast was very simple, scrambled eggs were dry from being prepared some time ago. Pity...

Very cute and authentic. Rooms are a little old with carpeting and small windows, but very spacious. Excellent breakfast. Great area by the port with restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Definitely recommended for the experience!

Property is small but well maintained and staff is responsive and helpful. Young staff but attuned to senior visitors except maybe in terms of restaurant recommendations, likely due to age and income. Of front desk, DIDI was especially helpful with transportation methods and getting some things printed for our cruise as well as general area info. Some others helped with one dinner recommendation that was excellent. We did not use any other amenities. Housekeeping was very good and c efficient and effective. Room was large, comfortable and clean. Only complaint was shower which was the size of an old fashioned phone booth and not really functional for an older adult that is not super flexible. Rubber floor mat was ill sized for shower floor pan and in fact I slipped on edge and my foot hit the pan edge and something in my leg between my knee and hip pulled from the impact. So not a great impression there, the only negative. I would likely stay again.
