We have been travelling in europe for over a month now. We booked the King Superior Room with Harbor View for 4 nights and the view was amazing but the hotel experience was pretty underwhelming compared with many of the other properties we stayed at even at the higher cost. The room is large and has a table to sit around and enjoy the view but the table only had 1 chair. We had to use the luggage rack for a chair. We asked for another chair 3 times and finally had one brought to the room our 2nd evening we were there. There were no wine glasses in the room to enjoy a glass of wine at the table once we had a 2nd chair. The bartender was nice enough to lend us a couple of glasses but then housekeeping took them away the next day. We just gave up and drank wine from the water glasses after that. Most of the places we stayed had usb charging ports but nothing here. I assume most people that book these rooms book as a couple so wouldn't 2 chairs and a couple of wine glasses make sense? The hotel location is great but there was not one thing (outside of the harbor view) you could call a special touch that makes it worth the extra cost or that would make you want to come back.

Our suite was charming, with beautiful decor, comfortable furniture, and a beautiful view. Breakfast was delicious. Some items were served buffet-style and egges were cooked to order. The buffet food was fresh and of a nice variety. Butter, cheese, meats, and smoked salmon were brought to our table. A variety of self-service choices were available from a beautiful coffee machine. Wait staff would bring coffee to us upon request. This is a lovely, relaxing boutique hotel.

The $88C breakfast for two was excellent...lots of choice and everything you could
want for your 1st meal of the day - $26.50E if not a tad pricey. They have bikes to rent if you want to go for a pedal around the city. A high ceilinged room was nice.
Some English channels on the TV for news and sports. Great gym, but not a
lot of machines for circuit training, if that is your thing. Loved the walk to the
hotel from the Rotterdam Centraal train station...you couldn't get closer and
an easy push for those 50lb bags on wheels. Not the nicest Marriott I've ever
stayed in, but did the job for a few days.
