The hotel was mostly great! Good location - close to chania without being right in the old town. We had a hire car so we were able to park right on the street outside usually. The staff could be a bit friendlier, I found some of them to be somewhat rude and dismissive of our concerns. The air conditioning needs maintenance. We raised it wasn’t working which was basically dismissed by the receptionist. She checked it herself and made her own confirmation that it was fine?? The air con literally had an error code saying it needed maintenance. We had it set at 16 degrees the entire time and I can tell you did not get below 21/22 at any point. This meant it took ages for the room to cool down. This was a bit disappointing because the rest of the hotel was good

A quirky little hotel in the middle of old town Chania. We had an enormous two bedroom master suite with 2 bedrooms and a great outdoor bar area where we could sit and watch life go by in the old harbour and out to sea. The place was very clean and the staff very helpful - bringing our luggage from the taxi to the hotel and to the taxi at the end of the stay (the hotel cannot be reached directly by taxi. Breakfast was again quite quirky with all sorts of little goodies and a healthy cooked breakfast. The lighting was a bit complicated in the room and it was quite dark in the bedrooms but otherwise a perfect stay. We would highly recommend this place.

The monastery Estates was a beautiful boutique hotel in a wonderful location. The whole experience felt like I stepped back in time. The one concern I had was there’s apparently assigned tables for breakfast, make sure you ask where yours is otherwise you may get yelled at.
