Our family used this as our last night stop close to the airport (LIR). It was just a key code to access the property with simple instructions to follow. The property was secure and private. Everything was new and very clean. Since we were traveling it was so nice they provided bathroom amenities, washer and dryer and full kitchen. The shower at this place was amazing and very relaxing. The best part was being given access to the beach club (5 min drive or 20 min walk). We went there and spent time at the beach and swimming in the pool. They offered outdoor showers, rentals of surf/boogie boards lounge chairs, etc.The pool was warm so my kids swam for hours. The offered drinks and a full menu. The staff was very friendly. Overall it was a great location and great stay.

Great service and food. They really take care of you at this resort.

Everything was great, however I wish they would change the breakfast options instead of the same few items every day. I would also suggest that they skim the pool at least twice per day since there are so many bugs that land on the pool. They asked if we were celebrating anything, and I told them it was our anniversary and my wife's birthday, prior to arrival and during the checkin, and no arrangements were made.

Staff was AMAZING! The food was great, and the property was immaculate. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Beautiful property full of extra touches to make it super special. Wonderful excursion options for all levels of adventure. Traveled with 2 young kids and they had a blast. 10/10 would come back.

We had an excellent time at the Mikado. It was our first time to Costa Rica and it was probably one of our best holidays. Such a fun adventure. Lolo was an excellent host and if you do stay you must take advantage of her dinners. Incredibly romantic. The location is perfect. Quick drives to Tamarindo, Playa Avellanas and Playa Conchal. Great places to explore and then return to the peace and tranquility of the lodge. Absolutely perfect.

We reached out to the hotel twice prior to our trip about airport shuttle and requested information on how we can arrange transportation. We never received any responses to our inquiries. We ended up renting a car last minute so we were not stuck at the airport. All "restaurants" are buffets. So if you like Buffet's, this is the place to go. Only one sit down restaurant which is a steakhouse but you must make a reservation through their app. If you are unable to download their app (like us) you have no chance of getting a reservation. We went to customer service three times and tried to make a reservation and no one would help us. Extremely frustrating. We ended up eating outside the hotel every day. The "hotel credit" is not your typical hotel credit where you can use it for an actual service. They should actually call it "coupons" that have values between $5-$25 off a particular service. In order to use the full "hotel credit" you are required to spend several thousand dollars more which will still average about 10% discount. The staff was nice and the hotel was clean. My son and I enjoyed exploring the country.
