A wonderful hotel in the heart of a small village on the outskirts of Taunton. A pub and Post Office/Shop only a few steps away. Such friendly and helpful proprietors. Spacious car park at the rear and a hearty breakfast included. Would definitely recommend.

It’s a lovely hotel. A little bit dated now, in places, but overall really nice in a nice setting and location. The staff were friendly although there were a few occasions things were asked for and not delivered on. I put this down to them being young and maybe not fully engaged with their roles. Could maybe do with some senior leadership to raise standards to where they could easily be. I would recommend and I would stay again. Just manage your expectations. Don’t expect the best. But overall a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I paid for breakfast both mornings. The food quality was great but often things were missing and not replenished. A little disappointing at £16 pp price point.

Beautiful place to stay with amazing views and lot of activities. Beautiful hikes and walking trails nearby. Would highly recommend for a family holiday. Premium stay with nice staffs.

Very nice and comfortable stay for the entire family

A warm welcome when we arrived although maybe a few more pieces of general information about the hotel would have been useful. The room was a nice large room with all the expected amenities. A nice touch with a chocolate by the bed but as it was booked as a double, not sure why there was only one? The bed was exceedingly comfortable. I had a knee replacement a few weeks ago and I can honestly say that I had the best nights sleep since I had the operation. The staff in the bar and restaurant were all very friendly and helpful. We decided to have dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Unfortunately we were too slow at eating dinner and the desserts we wanted were all gone. Breakfast in the morning was good with plenty of choice and the option to order other hot choices if you wanted. We would definitely stay here again.
