Mont Shefford Adventure Holidays

We booked this hotel primarily because of the photos showing bright, spacious rooms with large floor-to-ceiling windows. That was the main reason we were willing to pay almost $300 per night. Unfortunately, the room we received was completely different from what was advertised. Instead of a bright and spacious room, we were given a long, narrow, and very dark room with one tiny window facing the wall of the neighboring building. There was virtually no natural light. To make matters worse, there was a garbage collection area directly below our window. Until around 2 a.m., staff from the neighboring bar repeatedly threw glass bottles into the bins, creating constant loud noise that made it impossible to sleep. We feel that the listing was misleading, and we would not have booked this hotel had the actual room been accurately represented. It was very good locations and pretty clear apartment.

The staff was so very helpful and gentile. Room was clean, well maintained and comfortable bed. Shower also was very nice. Breakfast croissants were best I've ever had!

Seamless check in at this spacious property in a hip section of Montreal. It was like being in French speaking Brooklyn.

This was the most beautiful hotel! There is a delicious scent pumped throughout the hallways and lobby and the rooms are impressive. French doors to the classic black and white faux marble bathroom (in our executive suite) with a separate soaker tub and gorgeous Balmain bath products. A chaise lounge to lay on in your bath robe and the most heavenly mattress to sink into for a good nights rest. My daughter and I had the best sleep here during our visit in Montreal. I would highly recommend this beautiful luxury hotel, it was the highlight of our long days to return back to this level of comfort.

Unfortunately, the service did not meet our expectations. Aside from the bellman, the bellwoman (who greeted guests at the front entrance), and the housekeeping team, who were all excellent, the rest of the staff were not accommodating or particularly helpful. The front desk staff, in particular, provided very little guidance and lacked warmth and friendliness. We often felt as though we were inconveniencing them when asking questions. A welcoming and knowledgeable front desk team can make a significant difference to a guest’s experience, and unfortunately, that was lacking during my stay.

Very unique hotel. Interesting art and music all throughout. Rooms are comfortable, quiet, and well thought out. Highly recommended.
