Loved everything about this Hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Located in the perfect spot, everything was within walking distance especially the pick up spots for all the activities we booked.

I recently stayed at OUTRIGGER Kauaʻi Beach Resort & Spa and would give it 4 stars. The property was very clean, beautiful, and well-maintained. My room was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The location is convenient to the airport and several attractions, and there is a restaurant on the property. I also enjoyed the drinks from the bar! The resort is currently undergoing construction, so depending on where you are, you may hear some loud noise. It didn't really bother me, it was more of a “wow, that's loud” moment. I understand that work needs to be done, and the construction workers were very professional and respectful. They kept to themselves and never made guests feel uncomfortable, even when people were walking around in swimsuits. I did walk down to the beach, but there wasn't really anywhere to lay out, and the waves were too large for swimming during my stay. Part of the pool area was also closed, although I'm not sure why. My only real issue was housekeeping. My room was not serviced after my first night, even though the website states rooms are serviced daily. I didn't report it because I returned exhausted after spending the entire day exploring. I enjoyed my stay and found the staff very friendly. However, I personally spend most of my vacations out exploring, so I didn't use the pools, spa, fitness center, or other resort amenities. For my travel style, I'd probably choose a less expensive hotel next time rather than paying additional fees.

There was no mention of the construction and renovations that are currently underway at the hotel. Our room was great but there were construction workers everywhere, one of the elevators was closed, the parking was limited (we had a scooter), and there was no credit or mention of the construction prior to our arrival. This hotel is one of our favs, and we’ve stayed here before on many occasions. But had I known we would have gone next door to the Monoa Surfrider.

Property is clean, location is great. Steps away from the beach. Staff are friendly and helpful. Things I didn't like: You have to pay for microwave. You have to request for a table. No table in the room. We learned on day 2 from the maid that a table can be requested. Would have been nice to know this upfront. At the front desk during check-in. No blower in the bathroom. No hand towel ring. We had to hang handtowel on the cabinet door below the sink. Room was good for 5 ppl, would be good to have 5 towel holders/hangers. For a $447-$500+ a night room, the above are basic yet not part of the room. I hope they can make these accommodations in the near future. You are paying for the location. Not for the basic needs in the room.

We arrived around 11 PM and understood that there was only one staff member working. The staff wasn’t super friendly. When we got to our room, it smelled like urine everywhere. The place is old and muggy, although we understand it’s near the beach. Breakfast was decent—banana bread, coffee, and tea. We also had to pay over $29 daily for parking and over $49 for the resort fee. Honestly, we could have chosen a place in the city area, about 15–25 minutes away, for a lower price. We decided to book this one because it was closer to the place we were supposed to go.
