(79 reviews) The hotel has direct access to a ver quiet beach, the rooms with sea view are amazing! There's not much to do in the área, as it's very small, but it's ideal to relax. The food was really good, the staff increíble helpful and friendly, the spa is one of the best I've been to, and the bed was super comfy. (471 reviews) We have been here many times over the years. This was the first time since it reopened as Paradisus after refurbishment. We decided to try the Reserve level. It was much more expensive and did not offer very much extra in terms of facilities or dining options. The Reserve Pool area is enclosed by a concrete wall like a stockade or prison. It is still the windiest pool and we spent more time around the lagoon pool on the sheltered & sunnier side of the hotel. Reserve also offered breakfast in a separate dining area with table service. This area also served as a bar & lounge for Reserve during the day. Again we didn’t spend any time in there. The hotel was NOT full and a lot of staff were wandering around asking if everything was alright but they didn’t really want to hear anything but yes. The huge sandy beach is the attraction of this hotel for us and it is likely we will return, but not to the Reserve Level. (1,000 reviews) At best the hotel is probably a 3\* facility. The downside was The Spa, most facilities were out of order. We booked a joint massage for €45 euros each with another €10 euros to access The Spa.I have to say that every therapy room was covered in horrendous black mild which covered most of the ceilings.It was downright dangerous & would have been shut down if reported in the U.K. The hotel was informed but the Spa remains opened. We took photos of the massage rooms but the fact is, if we post them the Spa will not be used until a deep clean & treatment of black mild is carried out. (520 reviews) All night staff party inside the hotel was unbelievably disruptive and kept us awake! Really appalling from the Barcelo group to host their staff xmas party at the hotel wirh music blasting until all hours of the morning. Your guests have paid to have a top quality expeience and this certainly includes sleep. The hotel did not warn guests about the level or noise, nor did they provide ear plugs or even consider how the noise they caused impacted paying guests. This is not some cheap hotel, I dont expect the staff to keep me awake at night. There was no concern for guests at all and even littlr remorse. I raised it with reception the next morning and the man just laughed it off, he literally shruged and said "it's once a year" like I was the inconsiderate one. I left my room number and asked for my complaint to be passed to managment, not one person contacted me, not even the guest relations manager. The noise statted during the evening entertainment when at least 60 staff congregated in the reception talking very loudly amongst themselves and interrupting the performers. I have never seen anything like this from staff, especially at a supposedly 4 star hotel, the senior management are clearly in favour of this party being held at the hotel which is insane. Take your staff out and treat them to a proper party away from their place of work and respect your guests sleep! For this reason alone, I will not recommend or stay at this hotel again.
