(1,003 reviews) Spotless room, courteous staff and beautiful grounds. This is an OLD, historical property. The rooms are up to date and so comfortable. The Look Out was a great place to have a beer and meal. I enjoyed the onsite trails. Reasons I didn't give the 5th star: my room was supposed to have a view, but all I could see was a rock wall and a strip of desert landscape. It was lame. When I first checked in, I was terribly confused by the layout of the property, and I could have used more assistance on finding things. The water took a long time to get hot in the shower, and the shower head was not great. There was mold in the toilet under the rim, so easily missed by staff but visible if you're bending over to pick up a sock. No one tidied my room after the first night, and I was gone all day. I stayed 3 nights, and the room was tidied the 2nd day. I could hear road noise at night, so I needed my sleep fan app to drown out the cars on Ina Rd and Oracle Road.
