Overall, the hotel was good and I had a pleasant stay. I did not receive any VIP benefits such as a room upgrade or similar perks. As an Expedia Gold Member, I was expecting at least one VIP offer from the hotel, but no benefits were provided at all. The only thing I received was early check-in Additionally, the hotel did not provide slippers in the room. For a hotel of this quality, I consider this a significant downside, as even basic amenities like slippers are expected.

Lovely, quiet location right by the river. Local shops are a 5 mins walk away. Nice breakfast set-up where you can sit inside, or outside on a lovely balcony with a few tables.

The hotel was nice, staff was helpful and the breakfast was amazing. I did feel as though the room was too warm even with the AC on and I wish there was a microwave and ice machine available to guests. I will say that I'm from the US so maybe this is the norm for hotels overseas. I want to mention that although there was not a microwave in my room, the staff was willing to pop the bag of popcorn for me. I was very appreciative for that. I definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again if possible.

Great location close to everything we needed, with very helpful and welcoming staff. The on-site parking was a big plus and made getting around very convenient.

The breakfast was another standout feature. The variety and quality of the offerings were exceptional, with something for everyone, from fresh pastries to hearty options. It was the perfect way to start my day before exploring the city. The hotel's location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to access major attractions, shopping, and dining. I loved being able to step outside and immerse myself in the vibrant atmosphere of Frankfurt. Overall, my experience at the Steigenberger Icon Frankfurter Hof was fantastic. If you're looking for a luxurious stay with amazing staff, delicious breakfast, and a prime location, this is the place to be! Highly recommended!

The hotel is located in a quiet side-street in Cologne, seemingly well away from any shops, bars, restaurants. The largest drawback however was that the hotel only served breakfast, had no lounge or bar area to chill & relax, & so could really only be used for sleeping & breakfast. However, we soon located a very good - reasonably expensive - steakhouse near bye, & a collection of resturarnts about 15 minutes easy stroll away. I was attending a trade fair at the Cologne Messe, which was around 10mins away by cab, circa £16 each way. My wife used the time I was away at the show to walk along the Rhine, into Cologne centre, easy 25mins walk to the Cathedral. Nice hotel, but would not use again because of the dining/bar situation.
